Don’t worry about complex traditional attire—our staff will assist you every step of the way, ensuring you’re comfortable and ready to move. You’ll be dressing over your clothes, so we recommend wearing something easy to move in for a smooth transition into your new role.

With your transformation complete, it’s time to arm yourself with a sword. Rest assured, we use safe, practice swords to ensure your experience is both thrilling and secure. The adventure begins with a formal greeting, setting the tone for your samurai or ninja journey.

Learn the Basics: Sword Techniques and More.
Next, you’ll learn the essential techniques of sword handling, including drawing the sword (Battou) and sheathing it (Notou)—skills that might surprise you with their complexity. Our expert instructors will guide you through the process, making sure you gain a deep appreciation for the art of swordsmanship.

Master the Art of Tatedo
With the basics under your belt, you’ll step into the world of Tatedo—samurai stage combat. You’ll practice fundamental forms and then take part in dynamic fight choreography, either one-on-one or with a group. Channel your inner movie star as you reenact scenes from period dramas, or create your own story where you are the hero.

Unleash Your Creativity
Whether you choose to cut down your instructor or collaborate with your friends and family to craft your own storyline, the experience is yours to shape. You can stick to classic lines or improvise your dialogue—this is your chance to fully embrace your samurai or ninja persona.
